Unorthodox Fox

He sits perfectly still and yet somehow gives the impression he is about to do something completely unexpected. Which is, of course, entirely on brand for a fox.

Unorthodox Fox is as much about technique as subject — and the two are perfectly matched. The palette knife drags and sculpts oil pastel into something almost three-dimensional, building the fox's flame-orange coat in bold, decisive strokes that crackle with energy. No blending for its own sake. No softening of edges. Every mark is left exactly as it was made, confident and unapologetic.

The colour is the revelation — the fox blazes in vermillion and amber against a background of teal, cobalt and gold, colours that have no business being this beautiful together and yet absolutely are.
