In United, an abundance of blooms tumbles together in glorious, inseparable closeness — roses, anemones, and hydrangeas bound not by ribbon but by something far more felt. The title carries quiet meaning: different flowers, different forms, different colours — yet wholly, beautifully together.

The impasto technique is at its most expressive here. Paint is laid on thick and fearless — petals built up in bold, sculptural strokes that catch the light and cast tiny shadows of their own, giving the bouquet a physical presence that reaches beyond the canvas. Deep plum anemones with their dark, dramatic centres sit alongside soft blush roses and clusters of blue-violet hydrangea, the whole arrangement vibrating with colour yet held together by an instinctive harmony.

A simple glass jar grounds the composition in everyday intimacy — these are not flowers arranged for ceremony, but gathered with love and set down on a table. The background is beautifully abstracted, layered washes of sage, mauve, amber and grey creating a textured, painterly world that lets the blooms breathe and glow.
