Pears Still Life

Six green pears tumble together on a wooden board, set against a riot of a printed cloth. Each pear holds an entire palette within it: emerald, jade, aquamarine, cobalt shadow, yellow-white light — nothing here is simply green. The surrounding cloth blazes with reds, purples and crimsons, yet the pears hold their ground with quiet confidence. Bold, unrestrained mark-making and fearless colour are Sofia's signature, and in this still life they are at full volume — joyful, assured, and alive.
